Hand-tufted wool rugs created to bring the texture and character of natural landscapes into interior spaces.
Challenge
Bringing the texture, irregularity, and organic character of real landscapes into an interior object, without flattening it into a purely decorative, two-dimensional pattern.
Solution
Developed multi-piece, puzzle-format rugs from aerial and close-up imagery of specific landscapes, lake shores, dunes, microscopic plant structures, translated into organic shapes and a natural colour palette through hand-tufting. Designed to function less as a flat floor covering and more as a landscape fragment brought indoors, meant to be experienced tactilely.
